Darkseid sat upon his throne. Though he had always been much taller than the three of them, the physical advantage in height truly gave him more confidence now.
Darkseid was certainly not an unconfident person. The problem was that he genuinely could not understand the Justice League's angle right now. What exactly had these three come here for?
It obviously could not be to persuade him to surrender. If it were, given their nature, they would have started shouting outside the shield already. Nor could they be pretending to be friendly in order to assassinate him—everyone in the universe knew he was invincible on Apokolips. Even the little Blue Men would not come up with such a stupid plan, much less Batman.
After eliminating every impossible answer, what remained had to be The Truth. Yet after circling around Darkseid's mind dozens of times, that truth had not landed anywhere he could trust. Instead, it spread its wings and flew toward an absurd conclusion.

Fortunately, Desaad tumbled down the steps so quickly that it concealed Darkseid's momentary shock, sparing him embarrassment before the Justice League. Darkseid steadied himself and said, "Cooperate with me? Batman, this isn't another one of your schemes..."
"Battleworld." Main Universe Batman spat out the word coldly. Darkseid's hand on the armrest clenched at once.
"I know you've been spying on Battleworld, but you haven't found a way in. I can tell you that no conventional method can enter that place. Without an invitation, even if you ruled the universe, you would still have no chance."
Main Universe Batman said mockingly, "But the three of us can all get in. My adopted son can get in
