"Phew... it's finally almost done." The Flash let out a long breath. Looking at the unprecedentedly enormous lantern battery before him, he said admiringly, "I never expected it to be this magnificent once it was built. It can store so much power too..."

Green Lantern stood beneath the lantern battery as well and said, "Those damn Guardians of the Universe must have skimmed plenty. To fill up a lantern battery this huge, we must have made over two hundred trips, right?"

Barry merely folded his arms and shook his head helplessly. "Don't you think there's something off about the design of this lantern battery?"

"What's off about it?" The two of them looked up together.

The massive lantern battery stood over ten meters tall. Although it looked much like the lantern batteries commonly used by Green Lanterns—a round canister with a large lamp at the front—the symbol at its center was not the Lantern emblem, but a bat.

"Why does Batman like bats so much?" Barry asked. "Does he have to carve bats onto everything?"

"Oh, you mean that." The Flash shrugged. "He made it, so there's nothing wrong with putting his emblem on it. I think it looks better than the Green Lantern symbol."

"Of course it does," Green Lantern said coldly. "The Green Lantern symbol was designed by the Guardians of the Universe. It makes me sick just looking at it now. Once the war is completely over, we'll vote on a symbol of our own design. We won't use that bunch of bastards' anymore."

"Just don't let Batman take part in the vote," Barry said. "Otherwise, you'll be renamed the 'Green Bat Corps.' It sounds like some kind of vegetarian gathering."
