Strange understood. This really was a problem. It was different from Batman going off to study. Those Batmen had started from scratch, without even the slightest concept of magic, so naturally they could learn something at school. At the very least, it could shift their thinking and make them understand that real magical energy had to be "taken"—that alone was the greatest gain.

But this group of seasoned mages was different. Did they not know that magic could be taken by force? They just couldn't take it!

Sure, they could get some energy from Batman now, but that didn't mean they could beat demons one-on-one. Even if they banded together, their odds of winning were low. One mistake, and they would end up in the underworld.

What they needed to improve now was their efficiency in using energy—dealing greater damage with less energy, and explosive damage with more energy. Only then could they beat the demons into submission and seize more energy.

In that case, going to Marvel's magic schools would be a poor fit. The techniques for using magic over there differed from those in DC. The essence of magic might have been the same on both sides, but once they got into the details, the differences were enormous. They were two different universes, after all. Things like this were hard to match up perfectly.

Magic had broad, powerful attack methods, but it also had subtle techniques. This group was already quite skilled with magic. To improve further, they needed to pick apart the finer details. Going to an unfamiliar world with rules that did not fully align might instead lead them astray.

After thinking for a moment, Strange said, "There's actually a magic academy in one of the universes here. None of you know about it?"
