"Back to Earth." Constantine turned to Schiller. "Since Anya will be spending most of her time on Earth from now on, this permanent body has to be made on Earth so it can adapt to the environment. And since she'll be surrounded by Mutants, the body should have some special abilities too—at the very least, magical affinity, so she can at least become a mage."
Schiller nodded. Although Constantine's way of getting things done mainly involved "a blade hanging over lust," sometimes the method did not matter; the result did. Just tell him—had he gotten it done or not?
Erik and Charles had actually been preparing for the issue of Anya's body for a long time, but making a body for a soul was no simple matter.
Stark should have been the one to handle something like this, and he had tried, but whether it was a mechanical body or a body built primarily through magic, there was no way to forcibly stuff the soul of someone who had once been alive into it. It was not quite the same as soul ignition.
Soul ignition meant creating the soul after the body already existed, while Anya's case involved first having a soul, then shaping a body around it. The former had actually been happening on Earth all along. The birth of a newborn began with the physical union of sperm and egg, only then followed by the ignition of the soul's flame.
But if one could easily shape a body around a soul, humanity would never die. Once a body expired, they could simply replace it, while depleted soul energy could be replenished with magical energy. Everyone would then be immortal, which clearly violated the laws of the universe. That was why accomplishing this was especially difficult.
