"What?" Stark turned back and asked, "They found the Soul Stone? Where is it now?!"
"In a special dimension," said a Sanctum Sanctorum employee. "It seems to be the Void, a place where no rules exist. The only rift entrance is near Cygnus. However, the Batmen may have gotten the news too."
"How do you know?" Stark asked again.
"The Collector's vault is in Cygnus," Schiller said. "He's a local there, so he may have discovered this lead. And Doctor Strange raided his vault before. He won't let that go, so he may have chosen to cooperate with the Batmen."
Stark frowned. "We're fighting on our home turf, yet all these locals are helping the other side. What kind of home-field advantage is that?"
"Just because it's our home turf doesn't mean the locals have to help us. Cosmic Elders are immortal to begin with, and they aren't worried about our retaliation. Of course they'd vent their anger first."
"Have the Batmen already sent someone?" Stark turned to the employee again.
"We detected abnormal energy fluctuations there. In the end, we found that the Batmen had placed many probes in the area. We only found the rift by following the probes' trails."
"So you found that rift by following the clues the Batmen left behind?"
"Yes, but we aren't sure whether they've sent anyone inside to investigate." The employee shook his head.
"If they'd found that rift long ago and were confident they could retrieve the Soul Stone from it, they would have acted immediately. Since they haven't, they probably aren't confident. It must be extremely dangerous inside."
At that moment, a message came from the Command Center, summoning the Avengers to assemble. Clearly, they were also setting their sights on the Soul Stone.
