"Aunt Wanda! Aunt Wanda! Over here!!!" A childish voice rang out through the chaotic dark expanse. Franklin jumped out of a portal and grabbed Wanda's arm, trying to pull her back. But Wanda seemed to be disturbed by something. She shook her head as she backed away, calling out Jarvis's and her two sons' names.
"Billy, Thomas, come take a look at your mother!" Franklin called anxiously toward the portal. "She seems to be having a nightmare. Hurry and wake her up—we need to get out of here fast, or it'll be bad if that big guy gets here!"
The Billy brothers rushed out of the portal. Billy focused and suddenly saw the nightmare playing out in Wanda's mind. In her nightmare, the happy life she had now was all fake, nothing more than an illusion she had created with Scarlet Power. Once that illusion shattered, she would be all alone, with nothing left.
"Mom! We're real, not fake! Wake up! We have to get out of here!!"
"This won't work," Thomas said. "I'll do it! Mom!! Someone's beating us up!! Help!!!"
Perhaps his wailing was too miserable. Wanda jolted awake, nearly breathing fire as she shouted, "Who? Who hit my sons?!"
"Thank God, you're finally awake. Move!" Billy shouted urgently. "This place has already turned into a Nightmare Domain. If we don't leave now, we'll be swallowed by the nightmare!"
Wanda was dazed at first, but quickly remembered what she had been doing. She said anxiously, "No, your grandfather, uncle, and aunt are still here! Find them!"
"Uncle has already gone back to Battleworld," Billy said. "He couldn't withstand the explosion and sent us a message earlier. Grandpa should be up ahead. Let's go look for him."
