The two of them had fought to their hearts' content, but they hadn't left the battle zone containing Gray Mist beforehand. That meant any skill they used here could hit Gray Mist. The reflected damage immediately left both of them with only a sliver of health.
Of course, Gray Mist wasn't having an easy time either. Reflected damage had a ratio, after all, while he took one hundred percent of the damage. Fortunately, his skill set was well suited to looting. In the first few rounds, they had gathered the most supplies. Greed tossed down a few bandages and restored his health to full.
Peter also realized something was wrong. He looked at Natasha, then at Gray Mist. Schiller had to be involved somehow.
"Let's retreat first," Natasha said. "If you really want to fight, we can go fight over there."
Peter nodded, agreeing with her suggestion. The two immediately ran out of the battle zone without looking back. Greed even said regretfully, "What a shame. No crowd-control skills."
"You earned your current reputation," Gray Mist said. "But can you stop dragging my reputation down with you?"
"What do you know? I'm protecting your reputation. If you used that Outer God Descension skill set of yours, that would be real trouble. This way, everyone will just think I'm a bastard."
"That makes some sense," Gray Mist said. "But they won't think you're a bastard. They'll only think you're performing normally."
Peter and Natasha ran straight to the other side of the giant pit. Neither hurried to fight. Instead, they crouched there and watched the show. Sure enough, Stark and Steve arrived shortly afterward.
