The turn before the spaceship landed, Greed was in a room, tossing a huge pile of items onto the floor. He sighed. "Junk, junk, it's all junk! Did finding one key item really use up all our luck?"
"I told you long ago, the two of us couldn't possibly be that lucky and turn up all the exclusive items," Gray Mist said. "Getting one was already pretty good. They might not be able to find two either."
"No, I don't believe it!" Greed rearranged his inventory. "Come on, next room."
There was another gatekeeper in the next room. They killed the monster, then went in to search, only to turn up another pile of junk—either bandages or various pieces of armor with no special effects.
Greed was very fast at killing monsters with his skills. Those monsters were not very good at interrupting him, so he could basically wipe them all out with a single combo. He was no slouch at searching either, sorting things as he searched so that his backpack almost never filled up. He cleared the three nearby rooms at top speed and did not find a single good item.
"All right, I admit it. You were right," Greed said with a long sigh. "Looks like we can't find anything useful here."
"We should get moving," Gray Mist said. "Maybe we can search somewhere else."
"No," Greed said again. "If I can't get it, they shouldn't get it either. Since we can't find anything here, they shouldn't be able to get any key items from this place."
"What are you planning to do?"
"Let's find the spaceship's main control room."
