The piercing alarm blared. The Black Officer standing before the surveillance screens spun around sharply. Countless fully armed soldiers charged in one direction. The Black Officer rushed out of the room and shouted, "Don't go over there!!!"

He sprinted in that direction, nearly outpacing everyone else. But by the time he arrived, there was already a hole in the ceiling above the cell. Clark Kent floated in midair, his expression dreadful.

He only gave the Black Officer one last look and said in a deep voice, "Remember my warning. The ones in low Earth orbit are not friends. Don't approach them, or suffer the consequences."

With that, he shot into the sky, vanishing above the US military base. The Black Officer froze for a moment, but quickly turned and glared furiously at Schiller.

"What did you say to him??!!"

"I said I could tell you everything I know. But are you sure you want to discuss it here?"

The Black Officer clenched his fists. His face darkened and his breathing quickened, but he forced himself to calm down before saying, "See you in half an hour."

Schiller remained expressionless, merely sitting there. Half an hour had not yet passed when, after only a dozen minutes or so, someone came to take him away. He left the cell and walked down the long corridor. Near its end, he heard a fierce argument erupt from inside a room.

"This is the result of your mediation?! Now he's escaped. Who can guarantee he won't go destroy the Earth?!"

"He's an alien who grew up on Earth. He has humanity. Forcing him is the worst possible outcome for everyone."
