In Battleworld, at Batman's base, the portal flashed, and a figure in a suit stepped out. He was tall and powerfully built, but his temples were grayer than those of most Batmen. Though his face did not look old, his bearing was more mature, and his expression was stern.
Two Batmen had already been waiting outside the portal. Main Universe Batman stepped forward and shook his hand, followed by Adventure Batman. The three of them headed deeper into the base together.
"To be honest, inviting you here was a last resort. The materials I sent you earlier included the detection readings and a series of reports. The Dark Force invasion is real, and choosing your universe as a beachhead was likely no accident."
"I'm sorry," Ben Batman said. "Perhaps they think I no longer have the ability to turn the tide."
Adventure Batman shook his head. "I'm afraid that isn't the case. There are plenty of elderly Batmen in the Multiverse, not to mention that aging is hardly the most severe predicament. If they merely wanted to find a universe where Batman was weakened, then the Dark Multiverse would be the best choice."
Ben Batman frowned slightly as they sat down on the sofa. He crossed one leg over the other and said, "I don't know what exactly is worth paying special attention to in my universe. Do you have any ideas?"
Main Universe Batman and Adventure Batman exchanged a glance. Main Universe Batman said, "We have some guesses, but we can't tell you. Cognition is also a kind of power, and it could disturb your state of mind. This Dark Force invasion will likely lean more toward the magical side, so your mental state is especially important."
"I imagine you've already come into contact with magical power," Adventure Batman
