Then Schiller and Hugo said much more, seemingly engaged in a heated debate. Now part of their lip movements could be seen. Victor was certain they seemed to be discussing something like "love."

"Is that some kind of buzzword?" Victor said. "Brainiac discussed it with me yesterday too. He said he wanted to fall in love with Superman."

"There must be a reason something suddenly becomes popular," Schiller said pointedly.

The argument in the room reached a fever pitch. Then, suddenly, Schiller took a step back. The door opened, and another figure entered. He was a pale, powerfully built man with a full beard, but his face was unfamiliar. Victor did not know him.

"Who's that?" Victor leaned slightly closer to Schiller and asked.

"Jerryta. A body collector, and one of Hugo's victims. Though Hugo was also his victim."

Victor's hand holding the binoculars paused. Then he said, "What does that mean?"

"This guy used to collect bodies for the mob, and he had necrophilia. He caught an STD through unhealthy sexual behavior, was killed recently, resurrected, and then killed again..."

"Wait." Victor interrupted Schiller. He set down the binoculars, poured himself a cup of hot tea, and said, "Don't condense it at a time like this. Tell me the details."

Schiller briefly told Victor about Jerryta. When he heard that Hugo had studied Jerryta, Victor only frowned slightly. But when he heard that Jerryta might have collected Hugo's body, he sprayed out a mouthful of hot tea.

"You mean... he... he... could he..." Victor made every gesture he could think of for describing certain indescribable things. It practically looked like he was performing a hand dance.

"Most likely," Schiller nodded.

Victor had nothing to say. Even for a Gothamite, this was a little too far ahead of its time.
