As the agents were blasted away by the air current, Kayla frowned deeply. She looked at Alfred's expression and asked, "Aren't you curious who that person was?"
Alfred shook his head. "I'm only an elderly old butler. Whatever major events are about to happen in this world have nothing to do with me."
"What exactly did you mean by what you said before?"
Kayla walked over to Alfred and looked at him. After saying those words, Alfred seemed somewhat weary.
If he had been an ordinary old man, Kayla might have thought he was simply tired. After all, thinking and talking both consumed a great deal of energy. But Alfred was still robust. Though no longer young, Kayla had no doubt that she was no match for this old butler.
"Valeria, in your previous letter, you asked what I thought of your plans for your future. I didn't mention it in my reply, not because I had no opinion, but because I feared you wouldn't want to hear it..."
Kayla tilted her head, not understanding what Alfred meant. She thought for a moment, then said:
"Are you worried that I won't take your advice? It's all right. I believe that hearing many opinions brings clarity. Even if some advice doesn't match my expectations, I'm happy to treat it as a reference and thank the person who offered it..."
"That's why you've progressed so quickly, but it's also why you won't want to hear this advice of mine."
Kayla thought Alfred was still worried that she would reject his advice. She walked in front of him, looked into his eyes, and said, "Oh, Mr. Pennyworth, you truly don't need to worry about that. I've always regarded you as my teacher and godfather..."
"...My advice is that you bring your family to
