When Dr. Gregor arrived at the office, she still looked extremely haggard. She did not give the Mutant leaders anything resembling a pleasant expression. Professor X, however, had always been good at handling situations like this, and he said gently, "I'm very sorry to have invited you here in this way, Lady. But we've received definite information that certain people don't want you to stay alive."
"You're not much better than they are." Dr. Gregor seemed to be using aggression to cover her anxiety. "Right now, I'm afraid the ones who want me dead the most are you, aren't you? After all, the results of my research killed so many of your people."
Magneto's expression shifted, but Professor X remained gentle as ever. He said, "First, Orchis Forge was not built by you alone, nor was it something you wanted to build. Second, every Mutant who went on that raid was prepared to sacrifice themselves."
An image appeared before Dr. Gregor's eyes. It seemed to be a certain memory Professor X had projected to her. At first, she was startled and instinctively wanted to reject it, but she was soon drawn in by what was happening in the scene.
"We have to do this," said a Mutant wearing a visor. "Professor, trust us. Everyone here knows very well how dangerous this raid is, and understands that death is right at our doorstep. But we have to go. This is our mission."

"There's no need to grieve for us. If dying before a superweapon aimed at Mutants can spare more of our kind from harm, then I can't think of a greater death than this one. Professor, what you need to do is give our souls a true place to return to."
Aside from this Mutant, many other Mutants
