In Arkham Asylum's office, Schiller picked up the phone beside him and spoke at a rapid pace. "Hello? This is the Doctor."
"Yes, I know, but too many people have been attacked lately. The last incident temporarily disabled the security measures, so there's nothing I can do."
"It's not that I won't save you. Did you see who attacked you? Captain America and Iron Man, who can fly through the sky and burrow into the earth. If I could take both of them down by myself, would I still be sitting where I am now?"
Schiller hung up angrily. Before long, another phone at his side rang. He said, "Hello, this is the Doctor."
"I'll say it again, there are no security measures anymore. You're on your own... Important materials? Wait a moment!"
Schiller hung up, picked up another phone, dialed a number, and raised the receiver. "Hello? Nick, there are important materials in the underground base at the western docks. Send someone to retrieve them immediately. If they get there too late, those kids might burn everything down."
"No one? What is S.H.I.E.L.D. even good for? Fine, fine, but what are we supposed to do? Don't tell me you want me to ask Mephisto... Wait, I've got an idea."
Schiller put down the phone, picked up another one, and dialed a number. Before long, a burst of flame emerged from the phone and floated into the air. Schiller said to the other end, "Mephisto! Hurry up and send one of your subordinates, that Ghost Rider or whatever, to retrieve the materials from Hydra's underground base at the western docks..."
"What? What? What?" Mephisto sounded as though he had just woken up. Schiller had rattled off that long string of words so quickly that he had not understood a thing.
