Inside the Sanctum Sanctorum, Strange strode through the brightly lit corridor and entered the reception room. Loki was sitting on the sofa drinking tea. When he saw Strange come in, he stood and asked,

"What the hell is going on? What kind of nonsense is Schiller up to this time?"

"Who knows?" Strange had shed his earlier look of panic and grief. He said, "If I'm not mistaken, he became a follower of the Egyptian pantheon and had some Egyptian god guide his soul into the Underworld. By now, he's probably slaughtering his way through the Egyptian pantheon's Underworld—or even the Celestial Realm."

He sighed and sat down across from Loki. "For people like us, the death of the body has never been the end. His soul completely dispersed five minutes after he died? Who's he trying to fool?"

The two used tea in place of wine, raising their cups as they began speculating about what Schiller was plotting this time.

Strange knew more, so he spoke first.

"I don't know how Schiller got in touch with Khonshu, the Moon God, but that bird-head has obviously been completely taken in by him. I only became Sorcerer Supreme recently, so I haven't had time to read that many files. What exactly is the deal with the whole Egyptian pantheon?"

Loki thought for a moment and said, "I probably hadn't been born when the Egyptian pantheon was active, but afterward, I came into contact with several Egyptian gods. They were all animal gods, though, and they didn't live in the Celestial Realm."

"As far as I know, there was once a war in the Celestial Realm where the Egyptian pantheon lived. After that war, most of the animal gods, along with some weaker fringe deities, were driven out." Loki stroked his chin
