As night fell, the soft tick-tock of the second hand echoed through the clinic in Hell's Kitchen. The hour hand had already turned to nine.
By then, Schiller had long since gone to sleep. Only Peter and Pikachu remained in the living room, playing games.
Suddenly, Peter cried out, startling Pikachu beside him. His hand jerked, and the little character on the screen fell into the lava. Pikachu turned to Peter and asked, "What happened?"
Peter turned to look at the clock beside him and said, "It's nine. I have to go upstairs and sleep!"
