Before the floor-to-ceiling windows of Stark Tower, Stark stood at a table, fiddling with several models.
The models looked somewhat like his Iron Man suit, yet different. Through the gaps in the armor, it was clear that there was an internal structure inside, rather than the hollow shell of a suit.
Clearly, these were not something Stark had just made, because traces of technological iteration could be seen on them.
From left to right, the model on the far left looked the most like an Iron Man suit. Its basic structure was nearly identical, except that it had internal components filling it out.
The next one looked a little like Iron Monger, followed by one with added tentacles. The farther right they went, the lighter they became, their structures simpler and their forms sleeker.
One Hand picked up the model on the far right. Stark examined his latest creation carefully, took a deep breath, and showed a hint of hesitation. In the end, he pulled out his phone and called Peter. "Peter, are you free right now?"
"Oh, I'm at a party with Gwen. What's up?"
"No, it's nothing..." Stark lowered his head and was about to hang up when Peter shouted from the other end, "Hey! Guys, I've got something to do, so I need to go! You have fun without me!"
Then Peter's voice came back. "I'll be right over, Mr. Stark. Oh, right..."
Peter suddenly raised his voice and yelled, "Jarvis!! Open the glass on the south side of the building for me!!! I almost crashed into it last time!!!"
Only after Jarvis's beeping sounded did Peter hang up. Before long, Peter arrived in the laboratory wearing his Spider-Man suit.
