"Professor Schiller, I must remind you that every cat in this Mad Cat Asylum is extremely dangerous. They are the most vicious criminals I arrested while reforming this city. Contacting them is probably not a good idea."

In the grim hospital, the blue-eyed Black Cat walking ahead was armed to the teeth, countless visible and invisible devices mounted across his agile body. The other Black Cat wore only a simple gray exoskeleton, and his gray eyes seemed unusually bright in the corridor.

"Don't worry about it, Bat-Cat. I already told you where I came from. I'm simply curious about these lunatics. And of course, if I can cure one or two of them, that would be good for you and for this city, wouldn't it?"

Bat-Cat was about to speak when Schiller continued, "Come to think of it, why don't you just kill them? If you ask me, vicious criminals like these have no need to remain in this world. Wouldn't it be better to free up the hospital for patients who actually need it?"

Bat-Cat seemed stumped by the question. He paused, then said somewhat awkwardly, "No. If they committed crimes because of mental illness, then they don't deserve to die."

"And if their mental illness is innate and beyond their control, then they are innocent too. They should enjoy the same right to freedom as everyone else, shouldn't they?"

"But I can't let them out to commit crimes again. That would be irresponsible toward the law-abiding citizens," Bat-Cat replied.

"Then just kill them, and they'll never offend again."

"You seem to hate criminals even more than I do?" Bat-Cat paused and turned to look at Schiller.

Yet Schiller did not stop. As he walked deeper into the corridor, he said, "I already told you where I came from.
