Just as Alfred finished speaking, Batman suddenly felt the moonlight dim. Rain clouds covered the moon, thunder boomed in the distance, and then rain came pouring down.

As the rain fell, Bat-Cat saw the vivid green on the cat across from him gradually fade. The dye was washed away by the rain and dripped onto the ground, revealing his original fur color—black, black like Batman's.
"To conceal my identity and gather strength, I had been operating in Gotham's sewers. I dyed my fur an extremely bright color to hide the black."
