"I think we still need to consider this carefully." Connors suddenly spoke up. "What exactly is the principle behind ascension? How safe is it? Could anything unexpected happen? These are all questions we need to consider. I don't support trying it rashly without any safety measures in place..."
"Although I've always disagreed with your overly cautious approach to experiments, this is indeed a problem." Stark spoke as he thought. "The last ascension was less a precise experiment than a coincidence. We still can't determine whether that coincidence can be replicated, what abnormalities might occur if it is replicated, or whether those abnormalities would be dangerous."
Just as Schiller was about to speak, Strange said, "Indeed. Although you often say mysticism is about solving riddles, I must tell you that we have relevant safety regulations as well. Anything involving Demon Gods or magic must be approached with the utmost caution. Human souls are fragile. Once they are corrupted by power, the consequences are unimaginable."
"From S.H.I.E.L.D.'s perspective, we also need to ensure Stark's safety." Natasha spoke up. "His intelligence cannot be replicated and holds important strategic value for human civilization. If we can't guarantee his safety one hundred percent, it would be best not to do this."
"Fine, then let's study how to handle this artificial ascension in a way that ensures the greatest possible safety while accomplishing our goal," Schiller said.
Just then, Peter suddenly asked, "Um... can I leave now? I have class this afternoon."
"Go on, go on." Everyone waved him off. Stark told him, "The car is parked downstairs. Be careful on the road."
Though he said that, after Peter left, Stark still reminded Jarvis to keep an eye on Peter at all times so that if anything unusual happened, the others could reach the scene promptly.
