After hearing those few loud burps, everyone beside the Energy Hub froze for a moment. Then Schiller roared, and Strange raised his staff and slammed it hard against the ground.
"Find out immediately where that branch passage leads!"
The Ancient One had already narrowed her eyes. Magical light flickered around one of her hands. If she heard that the other end led to some Demon God from another dimension, she would immediately follow the network cable over and chop the bastard to pieces.
Loki crossed his arms, looking somewhat disappointed. He would never pass up any opportunity to build up capital for Asgard. That was why he participated in all kinds of human plans and endorsed them as the Prince of Asgard.
Nick's expression remained unchanged. This Director had seen far too many storms. He was more confident than any of them: no one could steal the electricity he intended to steal before he did. And if they did, he would simply take back several times as much from them.
They all regarded whoever had stolen the electricity first as an enemy. After all, when a plan failed at the final moment, it looked like a conspiracy no matter how one saw it. Human civilization had progressed far too smoothly until now. It was about time they faced some setbacks.
Everyone had their own thoughts, but suddenly, a mage stepped out of a portal and said, "Sorcerer Supreme, we found it. This energy channel never left Earth. Its endpoint is somewhere on Earth."
Instantly, everyone narrowed their eyes, suspicion appearing on their faces. They were not afraid of external enemies; they feared traitors within. If there was a bad apple among them, that would be the worst possible outcome.
"Can you locate the endpoint?" Strange looked solemnly at the mage.
