In an instant, like fireworks blooming over New York City, every Spider-Man was blasted away. An entire layer was sheared off the skyscrapers across New York City out of thin air, and all the turrets and surveillance equipment Superior Spider-Man had placed atop the buildings were reduced to dust.
Peter's outstretched hand froze in place. He swallowed and walked over to Amazing Spider-Man, who had just been sent flying. "What about your Spider-Sense? Didn't it go off?"
"It did, but too late."
Amazing Spider-Man climbed to his feet and said, "After all, we were the ones who ambushed him. It only took him a thought to strike back. Even if our Spider-Sense went off, we wouldn't have had time to dodge. Luckily, that attack wasn't very powerful, or we would've been in real trouble..."
But then Amazing Spider-Man saw the stunned expression on Peter's face as he turned around. Following Peter's gaze, Amazing Spider-Man saw the figure who had unleashed the repulsion wave begin condensing a massive black sphere in his hand.
Then, the figure extended one hand, and the sphere slowly floated into the air. Every Spider-Man's Spider-Sense began screaming wildly as Captain Universe Spider-Man shouted, "Stop him!!!"
Red Bee carried Peter toward the sphere at incredible speed, but as he approached it, Peter realized that the black sphere was radiating immense gravitational force, drawing everything around it inward.
"Don't come any closer! He's trying to catch us all at once!!" Peter shouted.
But it was already too late. Many of the faster Spider-Men had already approached the black sphere and were now flailing their limbs as they were dragged toward it.
Captain Universe Spider-Man did not know what the sphere was, but he knew he had to destroy it. He floated into the air, his body blazing with
