In the hallway, Bruce held a stack of papers and hurried toward the office. He knew that if he was two minutes later, today's paper would probably be very difficult to get approved.

Bruce stood before the door and knocked, but what came from inside was the sound of high heels. Anna, who taught mathematics, opened the door. Bruce glanced into the room and asked, "Professor Schiller isn't here?"

"He had something to do this afternoon. Are you here to have him review your paper?" Anna checked her watch and said, "You'll probably have to come back after seven tonight. He should return to pick something up then."

Bruce froze. "After seven? But it's only two in the afternoon. Where did Professor Schiller go?"

Anna shook her head. "I don't know. After lunch, he hurried back to grab two Basic Psychology books, then left. Why don't you try looking for him somewhere like the library?"

"The library?" Bruce asked in surprise. But seeing Anna's expression, he did not ask any further questions and simply turned to leave with his paper.

Standing downstairs outside the office building, Bruce felt a little lost. He suddenly realized that he really had no idea where to look for Schiller.

As far as he knew, Schiller generally did not go to the library. Gotham University's library was rather old, with few seats. Even though the librarians were strict, it was inevitably noisy. Schiller usually wrote papers at his own manor.

After all, Gotham University had no president, and no one checked attendance. Once the morning and afternoon classes were over, no one would stop the professors from leaving. Gotham University's professors had a great deal of freedom; if they had no afternoon classes, they could go home.
