"One last question..." Victor looked into Schiller's eyes and asked, "Since you're now an official employee on active duty, why did you let that already-corrupted personality take your place and do all this to Batman?"

Schiller raised his arms and folded them across his chest. "Victor, you need to understand that I'm not a particularly patient person. I've already shown this student named Bruce Wayne more patience than he deserved."

"For the past two months, I chased him down every day for papers and assignments, pushed him to attend class, watched him study—and what did I get in return? I glanced at another student once, and he skipped class for an entire month!"

Schiller pulled out a record book and slammed it onto the hospital bed. "Most importantly, when he was still far short of the credits needed to graduate, he missed the internship round worth the most credits! And before that, he had just promised me he absolutely would not delay graduation!"

After listening, Victor lowered his head and sighed. "All right, I understand why you were angry, but things still went a little too far. Bruce was hurt too badly..."

Schiller shook his head and said nothing more. Victor knew it was not that there was no explanation, only that some things could not be said.

What Schiller had not explained was the part concerning The Batman Who Laughs.

When he had previously explained the principles behind his split personalities, there was one important point he had omitted: these personality traits had all split from a complete personality, and they shared memories.

The memories were stored in some room within the High Tower, and any personality could look through them. The Administrator could indeed stop a personality from accessing certain memories, but Joker Schiller was half of Pride.
