Jason left the Blue Jackets' headquarters with a knot of tension in his chest. He hadn't made a move, because he had something more important to do now.
Just as he had expected, the gangs weren't stupid. Some had realized this was a trap. They might not have thought that far ahead, but they still didn't want their influence weakened.
Jason knew that, compared with killing people, he had something more important to do. He had to make sure the renovation project could continue.
For the upper ranks of the gangs, this might diminish their influence and make their lives worse. But for these children, as long as the buildings were completed, their lives would definitely improve. At the very least, the places where they worked would no longer leak when it rained, and they would be less likely to get sick.
Jason had considered charging in and forcing them to reveal the bombs' locations, but that was actually harder than killing. Killing only took seconds, but an interrogation could make noise. If the other members noticed, he wouldn't be able to get out.
From what he had overheard, he had picked up a more important piece of information: Wayne Enterprises had a way to ensure everyone could move into suitable housing.
Jason didn't know what that method was, but he knew that if Bruce Wayne dared to say it, he could definitely do it. Batman wasn't someone who liked to exaggerate.
If that was true, it meant every child could have a room of their own. Jason was willing to do anything for that goal.
He hurried back to the base and gathered all the children. "Go! Wake up the other Children's Gangs and get their leaders here. I have something to tell them!"
