"Why is it you again?" Stark leaned against the doorframe, looking at Polaris as she filled out forms. "Did Congress send you to slow down our progress?"

"Tony Stark!" Polaris slapped the wall and glared at him. "You damn busybody playboy, can you shut your mouth? If you stay here any longer, tomorrow I'm telling Pepper you'd rather stand around staring into space than ask her out on a date!"

Stark rolled his eyes, straightened up, and said, "If your abilities weren't actually useful, I never would have allowed Mutants into this project!"

Before Polaris could speak, Stark held up One Hand. "Don't say I discriminate against Mutants. Do you have any idea how much trouble you caused me?! Have you filled in that huge pit under Mercury Base yet?"

Polaris impatiently tossed the documents aside. "They're them, and I'm me. Didn't I do a perfectly good job handling transportation before? Instead of standing here running your mouth, why don't you go fix that ridiculously outdated hairstyle? Dark brown curls? My God, I thought I was looking at my grandfather!"

With that, Polaris picked up the documents and bumped past Stark. He turned to watch her leave, touched his hair, and said, "Hey, this is authentic American retro style, you tasteless little girl!"

Polaris couldn't be bothered to argue with him. After leaving Stark Tower and getting into her vehicle, she finally began reading the documents. They detailed her upcoming work, but as she read, she let out a startled exclamation.

"Solar System traffic control work??? ...What kind of job is that? Does the Solar System even have traffic that needs controlling?? Stark isn't messing with me, is he?"
