"What puzzles me is, what do you get out of this? Don't tell me you've suddenly grown a conscience and just want to help Mutants?" Strange took a sip of water and said, "I don't have any particular feelings about Mutants. I wouldn't say I hate them, but I don't like them either. Back in high school, a Mutant classmate's powers suddenly erupted and made me miss an exam. They're quite troublesome."

"I think whether it's using Asgard to clear out Project Red Door's facilities, leveraging steel production to pressure Wakanda, or getting equipment support from Nick, those are all just stopgap measures." Stark sighed. "The conflict between ordinary people and Mutants will never end. Even if the public wants it to end, as long as someone doesn't, it never will."

"Humanity is like that. They always have to pick the weakest among their own kind to bully. The rich bully the poorest among their own kind, and the poor bully those poorer than themselves. Even beggars bully those weaker and more helpless than they are. That's humanity's inherent vice." Stark shook his head.

"Indeed. Without Project Red Door, they'll have Plan B and Plan C. As long as Mutants don't go extinct, the conflict between the two sides won't stop..."

Leaning back in his chair, Schiller looked at Stark and asked, "Why do you think ordinary people reject Mutants so strongly?"

"Obviously because they're uncontrollable."

"On the surface, that's true, but it goes far beyond that."

Schiller nodded. "Yes, sudden outbreaks of Mutant powers can cause harm, but think carefully—who gets hurt?"
