Before Constantine had time to think about what the corpse before him was, he heard the roar of a vehicle engine drawing near, followed by the sound of car doors opening. Someone was clearly coming.

Constantine looked around and spotted a pile of scrap deep inside the warehouse.

He had no time to think. He rushed over and hid beneath a sheet of plastic. Then, glaring light shone through the gap beneath the rising rolling shutter, turning the floor as white as snow.

The trails of blood spreading across the floor resembled plum blossoms blooming in winter. Constantine's pupils contracted sharply, because from where he stood, there were at least seven or eight corpses lying on the warehouse floor.

As she spoke, she raised her chin toward the corpses, turned to the man, and said, "See that? That's him, our most successful experimental subject so far. Fifteen years old, and with nothing but a knife, he killed eleven trained security guards carrying loaded guns..."

Hearing that, Constantine frowned deeply. He looked in another direction and saw bullet marks on the warehouse wall.
