Chapter 24: Publicly Available Intelligence - Defining a Corner

≮Physical Corner≯

A "Physical Corner" is defined as the intersection of any inorganic or a small number of organic vertical surfaces, where all three axes (X, Y, Z) measure 50cm or greater.

If any corner lacks illumination above 100 lux, it may form a "Crevice." Any conscious life form that approaches will disappear without any awareness, as if falling into it.

To eliminate Physical Corners, the following measures should be taken:

1. Arc Structure: In urban construction, any form of intersecting vertical surfaces should be avoided, replaced by arc structures instead.

2. Full Coverage Illumination: Ensure all areas of the city are continuously covered by illumination exceeding 100 lux at all times.

All residential complexes, public areas, and other communal zones must have at least two backup power sources connected in parallel, capable of supplying both bio-energy and traditional electrical power to guarantee continuous illumination.

3. Bio-Sensing: Every household can adopt a special bird, the "Corner Parrot," genetically engineered through modern gene technology. When this bird is hung in the home, it will immediately issue an alert if any area meets the conditions for corner formation. Individuals nearby will receive a notification on their wristbands.

≮Psychological Corner≯

When an individual experiences extreme psychological states and their negative emotions accumulate beyond a certain threshold, a special corner may form within their thoughts.

The individual will hear whispers from the depths of the corner, their desires will be amplified without limit, and they will be induced into abnormal transformations.

In the early stages of a Psychological Corner's formation, the individual will attempt to disguise themselves as much as possible.

Individuals in this stage are commonly referred to as "Imposters" or collectively as an "Abnormal Group."

If an individual can maintain their disguise for an extended period, evading detection through various psychological tests and comprehensive physical examinations, and fulfills the "conditions" set by the corner, they may gain the corner's acknowledgment and be granted special anomalous abilities.

The individual can then transform into the very thing they fear most, also known as "Phobia-concretization."

When the disguise has been maintained for over a year and all the corner's demands are met, the mental corner matures and can trigger or create extremely dangerous "Area Anomaly Events."

To prevent the formation of Psychological Corners, the following points should be addressed:

1. Psychological Test: Communities, schools, companies, and other collective areas must be equipped with qualified psychological zones. Each person must undergo a psychological examination at least once a month, with reports uploaded and synchronized in real-time to their wristbands.

Individuals who fail to undergo timely examinations will be prohibited from entering most areas. Upon discovery, they will be subjected to mandatory examinations.

2. Event Monitoring: All negative events, such as confirmed terminal diagnoses, accidental deaths of family members, divorces, or congenital mental illnesses, will be collected. Enhanced monitoring of these special groups will be implemented, along with more comprehensive psychological testing and regular one-on-one check-ups.

3. Public Welfare Activities: Support will be provided to individuals facing difficulties in life, offering financial and living assistance. Relevant activities will be held monthly in various public areas to improve residents' happiness index.

4. Mental Hospital: Mental hospitals will be established in cities located on the nation's borders. Free inpatient services will be provided to patients who require them.
