As a nationally designated key middle school,
Jupiter City Fourth Middle School had never experienced a single accident in the more than twenty years since its founding. Even without any incidents, the school had continued to invest heavily in security management.
It ensured that no Physical Corners formed and that any Pseudo-Humans could be suppressed immediately upon appearing.
The school's entire security force could be divided into two categories:
1. Security Team: A security force meeting the city's Level Two standard. Although they lagged considerably behind Level One teams and higher-ranking investigators,
their members possessed fairly extensive combat experience and were equipped with suppression combat suits purchased from the "Company," resembling the riot police seen in certain films.
They were commonly armed with high-voltage batons, stun guns, tactical knives, and more.
Security personnel at squad leader rank or above were permitted to carry 9mm pistols (blood-testing trigger*).
*When the user pulled the trigger for the first time, a needle in the trigger drew a small amount of blood for testing. The firearm's safety would only disengage after ruling out Pseudo-Human status.
*Because large numbers of Pseudo-Humans had infiltrated the country, with their numbers increasing every day, firearms were subject to extremely strict control.
2. Physical education teachers
They often represented the school's highest level of strength. Every PE teacher was a combatant not to be underestimated. Beyond their own exceptional abilities, PE teachers generally possessed a "Corner-transforming item" or some other enhancement related to Corners.
That was why, despite the many Anomaly Events occurring across the country, schools had always remained stable.
Now,
the school, regarded as a safe zone, had encountered a danger far beyond an ordinary Anomaly Event.
