"For many years, we have been searching for the nests of those cultists..." Banster's voice was hoarse and gloomy, and the black-robed elder's expression was exceptionally grave. "Among the three major cult groups, the Endtime Evangelists are discontinuous 'freaks' on the timeline, while the Sun Followers are sheltered by the Black Sun beyond the Real World's dimension. "I didn't expect it to be hidden in a place like that." Helena nodded. "But that does explain how they evaded the Church's pursuit for so many years—if those Annihilation Cultists really found a way to survive in the Eternal Veil for extended periods, then they have clearly gone a great deal further than we have."

As she spoke, she turned her gaze toward Rune. "How do you think those cultists survived at the border?"

"The 'holy land' may not necessarily have been built through their own abilities." Rune shook his head. "Technological development does not happen overnight. No matter how much forbidden knowledge the Annihilation Cultists possess, they could not conjure a shelter so far beyond our imagination out of thin air—after all, we have all dealt with them before, and everyone knows exactly what those heretics are capable of.
