The standoff at sea had turned into an even more complicated situation—the powerful Sea Mist Fleet emerged from the cold winds, introducing a fourth force into what had originally been a three-way confrontation. Yet from another perspective, matters seemed to have become simpler.
Cold Harbor and the Morpheus Navy no longer needed to worry about the enemy's cannon fire or the deterrence of the Church fleet.
Sorenna stared fixedly at that steel face, her gaze devoid of fear or the slightest hesitation—though she knew the capabilities of this "Iron Admiral," she also knew that the Sea Mist Fleet was not invincible. These undead could seize control of two flagships through a surprise attack, but they could not control the other vessels in the fleet. If this truly devolved into a melee, it would benefit no one.
Tyrion Abnormar's choice to meet in this manner showed that he wanted to "talk."
"Cold Harbor needs sunlight." After a long standoff, Sorenna broke the silence in a deep voice.
"Yes, Cold Harbor needs sunlight. And Hob, your old friend and the current commander of the Morpheus Navy, has also been telling me—Morpheus needs sunlight," said the steel face, its mouth opening and closing with a metallic tremor in its voice. "And do you know? Jotun City, Haipo, Bandol Island, farther-off Faelun, Moko... darkness has begun devouring this world, while islands sheltered by sunlight make up only a small fraction of all city-states... Everyone needs sunlight."
The muscles in Sorenna's face tightened, but her voice was even calmer than before. "Captain Tyrion, do you think saying that now is useful? I need to ensure Cold Harbor's survival first—unless you are willing to hand over that Sun Shard which fell in Frost."
"...It is already on its way to Cold Harbor," the steel face said
