Now, whenever Lu Yang killed a wild bull, each Fireball could deal over 120 damage. A wild bull only had 580 health, meaning he now needed just five Fireballs to kill one—twice as fast as before.
He casually tossed out a Fireball, and it happened to crit, instantly taking away half the wild bull's health. The sheer exhilaration made Lu Yang feel incredible.
Just as Lu Yang was preparing to continue leveling, an intense burst of white light suddenly appeared in the center of the valley, forcing him to shut his eyes.
At the same time the white light appeared, an angry, low roar came from the heart of the valley. Enduring the pain in his eyes, Lu Yang looked into the valley and saw a Level 8 Wild Bull Leader, pure white from head to hoof, emerge from the light. The Wild Bull Leader glared furiously at Lu Yang, its hooves constantly pawing at the grass.
Lu Yang could hardly believe his luck. Not only had he encountered a Golden Wyrm on this concave map, but a wild bull boss had spawned as well. No wonder that player from his previous life had managed to catch up to the first tier despite entering the game three days later than everyone else, and only grew stronger afterward. This really was a great place.
The drop rate in "Second World" was so low that there were only two ways to obtain equipment: entering dungeons for low-stat gear, or killing field bosses.
However, every field boss possessed powerful attack power, enormous health pools, and formidable defense. The Wild Bull King boss in particular was widely recognized in later generations as one of the hardest early-game bosses to kill.
According to information gathered in later generations, the wild bull boss had a base attack of 106–150 and came with three special attacks: Bloodthirsty Charge, Wild Bull Stomp, and Wild Bull Tail Whip.
Bloodthirsty Charge: Physical damage. Increased physical attack by 32 and charged at the enemy at extremely high speed.
Wild Bull Stomp: Magic damage. Increased magic damage by 10 and stunned enemy units within 5 yards for 2 seconds.
Wild Bull Tail Whip: The wild bull turned and forcefully kicked backward with its hind legs, dealing physical damage to the target. Increased physical attack by 60 and also inflicted knockback.
Setting aside those three skills, the Wild Bull King's base attack alone exceeded Lu Yang's health. With a single light hit, it could send Lu Yang back to the beginner village for free.
If they had been on flat ground, Lu Yang would not have dared provoke it even if it killed him. But he was standing at a bugged spot now. Looking at the massive wild bull boss, Lu Yang grinned and began casting Fireball.
The wild bull boss had 8,000 health. One Fireball from Lu Yang dealt 129 damage to it.
After taking damage, the wild bull boss let out a pained cry and charged toward Lu Yang. But like the other wild bulls, it simply could not climb the thirty-meter steep slope and could only let Lu Yang bombard it with Fireball after Fireball.
After fighting for more than three minutes, just as the Wild Bull Leader's health dropped below 5,000, Lu Yang tragically ran out of mana again.
Helplessly shrugging, Lu Yang could only rely on Crispy Electric Eel Meat's 8 mana per 5 seconds regeneration buff to slowly wear down the wild bull.
Two hours later, the wild bull boss let out a mournful cry and collapsed dead under Lu Yang's attacks. Seeing the four items it dropped, Lu Yang cleared out the nearby mobs before hurriedly jumping down the cliff to collect them.

But instead, it had dropped "Blink." For mages—especially fire mages—this was one of the most important skills.
As a pure damage-dealing class, fire mages had very few survival skills in the early game. Therefore, "Blink" was their primary means of escape in the beginning. This book was even more valuable on the market. Few people sold it early on, and its price became absurdly high later—a single book cost 2 gold coins. Lu Yang had never expected to obtain it here.
After quickly learning "Blink," a pale blue spatial orb appeared in Lu Yang's skill bar.
Since the wild bull boss had spawned, the other bosses in Giant Town should have spawned at the same time as well. Lu Yang glanced at the players on the Level Rankings. Xiong Ba in second place and the players from third through fifth place were all tied at Level 3. If nothing unexpected happened, they would all reach Level 5 by this time tomorrow.
