A small number of Elite Players could reach level 4. By then, they would be able to bring their elite subordinates to raid these bosses. It would be much harder for Lu Yang to kill them afterward, so today was Lu Yang's best chance to kill every boss.
There were also two level 5 bosses in Giant Town: the Azure Wolf King and the Wild Bee King. Of the two, the Wild Bee King was easier to kill, and Lu Yang had his own method for it. He had originally planned to kill the Wild Bee King first, but after obtaining the Blink skill, he could kill the Wild Wolf King first instead. If he got one or two pieces of mage equipment by luck, killing the Wild Bee King afterward would be even easier.
Descending from the top of the right side of the concave-shaped valley, Lu Yang ran straight ahead. An hour later, a forest appeared before him.
The Azure Wolf King Lu Yang was looking for was there. The Wolf King was a level 8 elite monster and had the group-control skill Terrifying Howl.
Moving through the forest, Lu Yang relied on the red potions dropped by the Golden Wyrm and killed level 5 wild wolves along the way until he reached the area where the Wolf King roamed. After searching the forest for a long time, a sharp wolf howl suddenly rang out nearby. Lu Yang recognized it as the Wolf King's distinctive roar.
Seeing the Wolf King leap out of the woods and head toward him from afar, Lu Yang walked toward two large trees nearby. They were unusual trees. Their trunks were not particularly thick, less than twenty centimeters in diameter, pitifully thin compared to the towering trees elsewhere in the forest.
Yet these two trees were the key to Lu Yang killing the Wild Wolf King.
A video of a level 5 alt soloing the Wild Wolf King in his previous life surfaced in Lu Yang's mind. It had happened half a month after the game launched. It had been invented by Blackflame Magic God, one of the three legendary fire mages of later years and Lu Yang's equal, causing an enormous sensation at the time.
After waiting beneath the trees for several minutes, a silver-white figure entered Lu Yang's attack range. This wild wolf was clearly a size larger and far stronger than the others. It was the level 8 boss, the Wild Wolf King.
Lu Yang hid beneath the two trees. A fireball formed in his hand, and he hurled it at the Wild Wolf King.
The fireball accurately struck the Wild Wolf King in the head. With a bang, a huge "-240" burst above its head. Lu Yang had luckily landed a critical hit.
Wild Wolf King: Level 8 Leader Monster, Health 7760/8000
After being attacked, the Wild Wolf King let out a pained cry and charged at Lu Yang. Its savage expression and terrifying fangs sent chills down one's spine.
Lu Yang stood motionless as if stunned. Only when the Wild Wolf King came within five yards, leapt high into the air, and pounced at him did Lu Yang move.
A flash of white light appeared, and Lu Yang vanished from the Wild Wolf King's sight. The Wild Wolf King lost its target.

After a dull thud, the Wild Wolf King stared blankly at itself, trapped between the trunks of the two trees and unable to move.
This was the most famous Wolf King solo-kill bug from Lu Yang's previous life. By exploiting the rules of Second World, it made the Wild Wolf King get itself stuck between the two trees.
Don't think this bug was simple. It required extraordinarily powerful reactions and control awareness. The Wolf King's pounce was incredibly fast, giving players less than a second to react. Releasing the skill too early or too late would both result in failure. Too early, and the Wolf King would step on the tree and leap backward. Too late, and the Wild Wolf King's attack power of 112 meant it could bite a fragile mage to death in a single strike.
Lu Yang had never tested this method before and had only read about it in a guide. He had not expected to succeed on his first try. Watching the Wild Wolf King struggle madly as the two trees squeezed it tighter and tighter, a smug smile appeared on Lu Yang's face. Taking out the Arsonist Staff, Lu Yang smacked the Wild Wolf King on the head.
A "-8" appeared above the Wolf King's head. If Lu Yang wanted to, he could kill this Wild Wolf King using physical attacks alone. Of course, in the race to level up in a newly opened server, Lu Yang had no time for that. Standing in place, he began casting Fireball at the wolf's head.

After several consecutive fireballs, the Wolf King's eyes gradually turned blood-red. Its jaws kept rumbling low as it bared its fangs. A few seconds later, a ball of cyan energy shot from the Wolf King's mouth and spread around it like a shockwave.
Terrifying Howl.
Noticing something strange about the Wolf King, Lu Yang hurriedly retreated. Group-control skills like this were the most troublesome. Once hit, he would wander around aimlessly. If he walked into the Wolf King's mouth or drew other monsters, it would be too late for regrets. So Lu Yang first withdrew to a sufficiently distant spot.
A piercing sound rang in his ears, and Lu Yang lost control of his body. Only eight seconds later did he recover. When he opened his eyes, he found that he was less than two centimeters from the wolf's head. Seeing the Wild Wolf King's furious expression and its slime-covered fangs snapping wildly in front of him, Lu Yang rolled backward in terror to dodge its jaws. He did not stop until he was thirty yards away from the Wolf King.
Patting his chest, Lu Yang quietly rejoiced that he had had the foresight to retreat. Otherwise, the Wild Wolf King would have sent him back to the beginner village for free.
Steadying himself, Lu Yang sent another Fireball into the Wolf King's head. This skill had a cooldown, and it could not be used again for another minute. Therefore, Lu Yang decided to attack the Wild Wolf King as much as possible. However, he still did not have enough mana.
Just like with the Wild Bull Leader, when the Wolf King had 4,000 health left, Lu Yang ran out of mana again. He could only keep slowly grinding it down with the buff from Crispy Electric Eel Meat while enduring the Wolf King's Terrifying Howl every minute.
An hour later, Lu Yang had finally worn the Wolf King down to just 30 health. His final Fireball struck the Wolf King, and it let out an unwilling howl before dying between the two trees. At the same time, a 2x2 loot burst appeared before Lu Yang. He looked through the items:

Lu Yang happened to have no bracers. After equipping them, his spell power increased by another 7 points, and he gained 20 additional mana.

Decent physical-class equipment. Warriors, thieves, hunters, and paladins could all use it. It would sell for a good price at the auction house.
