Among all the level-five bosses outside the beginner village, the ones Lu Yang could solo were neither the Wild Bull Leader nor the Wild Wolf King. Killing those two bosses had been entirely dependent on luck. The boss he was truly capable of killing was the Wild Bee King in Twilight Marsh.
Passing through Misty Forest led into Twilight Marsh, which was filled with level-five wild bees.

Because Second World modeled everything after reality, wild bees had a particularly glaring weakness—their wings.

In automatic mode, mages could not control the precise location where their spells struck. To accomplish this, they had to change their attack mode.
There were two game modes in Second World: automatic mode and free mode. Each had its own advantages and disadvantages, but anyone who wanted to become an expert in the later stages had to use free mode.
What was free mode? Take a mage's Fireball spell as an example. Normally, casting Fireball required a set of syllables, a set of hand gestures, and actively directing the magic energy within one's body. In automatic mode, a mage did not need to speak those syllables, make the hand gestures, or learn how to direct energy. The system would automatically handle it all for the player. However, the system also set the casting time for the spell at three seconds by default.
In free mode, high-level mages who had learned the game's advanced magical language, spellcasting gestures, and energy-directing methods could speak the syllables themselves, make the corresponding gestures, and direct the energy within their bodies to cast Fireball. In that case, casting speed depended entirely on how quickly the player could recite the magical language and how well he understood it.
The reason Lu Yang had been called the Berserk Fire Emperor in his previous life was because he knew how to simplify incantations. While others needed three seconds to cast a Fireball, he needed less than 0.5 seconds.
As a result, Lu Yang no longer needed to stack haste and accuracy. After giving up those two attributes, he put all his points into critical hits. At one point, his critical hit chance reached 83%, meaning nearly every attack was guaranteed to crit.
But that was not enough. In free mode, every spell cast by a mage was controlled by the mage himself. In other words, if the mage did not aim properly, the spell would miss. Hiding behind a clump of reeds, Lu Yang searched the marsh for the Wild Bee King. Before long, a huge buzzing sound approached from the distance.
