While the Iron Blood Brotherhood charged forward bravely, Jerz's side had descended into chaos. In the meeting room, Jerz slammed the table and cursed at Rex. "Can you people stop Lu Yang or not? If you can't, say so sooner. I might as well surrender directly, at least then I can save most of my assets."
Rex, Golden Lion, the captains, and the others all glared furiously at Jerz. They had done everything they could to help, but they simply could not defeat Lu Yang, and that was already frustrating enough. With nowhere to vent their anger, they all wanted to curse Jerz out.
Vice President Margaret sensed that something was wrong. She quietly patted Jerz's waist, then walked up to Rex with a charming smile. She draped an arm around Rex's shoulder and leaned into his embrace. "Can't you think of something? If this continues, we really will lose. You don't want the Temple Organization to be branded as unable to defeat the Iron Blood Brotherhood, do you?"
Golden Lion, the captains, and the others stared at Rex and Margaret in astonishment. No one had expected the two of them to become so intimate after knowing each other for less than three days.
Rex blushed slightly and did not dare look at the people around him. "There is a way, but it's our secret weapon against organizations like the Apostles and the Dark Knights. If we use it now, it'll be hard to explain later."
Jerz excitedly slapped the table. "What's so hard to explain? I'll apply to your boss myself. I refuse to believe he'd just watch me die."
To win over one of the six hidden bosses behind the Temple Organization, Jerz had given him a 10% stake and presented lavish gifts to every Temple Organization executive
