If there was anyone in this world who least wanted to see the creatures of the natural gods' faction grow stronger, it was undoubtedly the creatures of the Dark Faction gods.
Mandin could tolerate humans becoming stronger, because he knew that as the Twisted Void gradually expanded, more and more members of the Dark God Race would arrive. Even more powerful gods might descend, and when that time came, humanity would still perish.
But what he could not tolerate was the possibility that, when the more powerful gods of every race descended, they would discover that the races of the natural gods' faction had enormous populations in the human world, while the races of the Dark Faction gods' faction to which he belonged had withered away.
At that point, his god would be mocked by the natural gods. If the master was humiliated, the servant deserved death. If the god he worshipped was ridiculed because of him, then Mandin could only kill himself—or even destroy his own race—to atone to the Dark God.
So, when Mandin learned of this from Wang Shijie, he came without hesitation to the entrance of Nameless Mountain. With his hands on his hips, he roared, "Frand, you cowardly bastard! The natural gods are all cowards just like you..."
Frand, who was hiding deep within the canyon, heard that Mandin was shouting insults—and insulting his god, at that—and immediately flew into a rage. His true form flew straight out of the canyon and arrived at the entrance. Facing Mandin in his enormous Flower Demon form, he restrained the urge to attack and said, "Mandin, if you cannot give me a reasonable explanation today, the Flower Demon race will formally declare war on the Dark Demons."
Mandin showed no fear toward the growing number of Flower Demons
