On the rooftop of the Snake Mouth Central Fortress, Old Twilight sighed in relief. The demons had agreed to help; now it depended on the Fire Spirit General. Through his soul connection, he contacted the Death Spirit General and said, "Master, my strength is not on par with the Fire Spirit General's. I'm afraid I won't be able to persuade him. I'll have to ask you to speak to him personally."
Inside the underground cave, red light flared in the Death Spirit General's skeletal eye sockets. He rubbed his skull prayer beads and said, "I'll negotiate with him."
Old Twilight transferred control of the crow to the Death Spirit General. Red light shone from the eyes of the crow that had already flown to the Volcanic Crater in Dan City. It flew straight to the mouth of the largest volcano and shouted at the boiling lake of magma below, "Abax, I am Death Spirit General Nemor. I have something to discuss with you."
The rolling magma lake immediately swelled upward. When it reached a height of fifty meters, the magma cascaded down in a cone like a waterfall, revealing the upper body of a flame demon.
Fire Spirit General Abax, who had been severely wounded while passing through the space-time passage before, had now recovered more than half of his body. His terrifying flaming face fixed Nemor with a savage grin as he said, "Why send a crow to deliver your message? Are you afraid I'll kill you?"
A mocking expression appeared on the crow's face. "I knew you would try to kill me. I'm already hiding somewhere. You'll never find me."
Abax frowned. "Don't you want to kill me too? What is the point of saying all this? Tell me why you came."
Controlling the crow, Nemor said, "I
