"The human legion must have been terrified. Then they'll kneel and beg for your forgiveness. They'll plead with the great Legion Commander Marwan to pardon their offense," said Qierha, the First Legion Commander and a half-step God King, flattering Marwan.
Second Legion Commander Yelun shouted, "Humans aren't even worthy of serving as Lord Marwan's horses. Those fools didn't even know to set up scouts in Crystal Stone Land. Our journey has been far too smooth. I suggest we capture Lu Yang and execute him immediately, lest such an idiot stain Lord Marwan's boots."
Everyone burst into laughter.
Marwan laughed as well. He greatly enjoyed the flattery from his two legion commanders and said loudly, "If I catch Lu Yang, I'll dig out his head and see just how stupid he really is. Even personal instruction from the Blazing Demon God couldn't enlighten him."
Qierha, Yelun, and the others laughed again, but Lu Yang, who stood at the front of the carriage, did not laugh. This greatly displeased Qierha and Yelun.
Qierha strode over to Lu Yang, grabbed him by the collar, and growled, "You idiot, why aren't you laughing?"
Lu Yang smiled at Qierha. He had been wondering whether he could find an opportunity to kill one of their half-step God Kings, but Qierha had delivered himself right to him. Space opened within his sleeve, and the World-Annihilating Sky-Devouring Sword slowly emerged. He suddenly drove the sword into Qierha's heart.
