After flying through more than a dozen void passages of unknown length, each stretching hundreds of thousands of kilometers, and circling around dozens of times, they found that every passage was spiral-shaped, with some even looping back on themselves.
Each passage had more than a hundred entrances and exits. Taking a single wrong turn meant getting lost in an endless maze.
By the time Lu Yang led the Sword Spirit King and the others out of that network of passages, five or six days had already passed.
"No wonder the Void Realm Beast wasn't afraid of us passing the first trial. This second one could trap people to death for tens of thousands of years. Without that map, it would've been incredibly difficult for us to get out," the Sword Spirit King said with a sigh.
Lu Yang was equally moved. When he reached a corner and looked toward the corridor to the side, his eyes suddenly lit up.
The previously sealed passage had opened into a vast cavern, and many places along the ceiling had been broken through.
The light shining through those holes was actually void light. Beneath its illumination, countless creatures radiating the power of half-step God King Tier blocked the way ahead.
Their original appearances could no longer be made out. Their bodies were entirely black, with occasional flashes of white light flickering across them. After prolonged exposure to void light, they had become void puppets and no longer possessed minds of their own.
"This trial is a little difficult," Lu Yang said. "Killing these half-step God King Tier creatures would be easy, but if we use flames to slaughter them, the Void Realm Beast hiding in the darkness will notice something unusual here."
The Sword Spirit King looked at the void puppets and sighed softly.
