After ending the call, Lu Yang leaned against a large tree to rest, waiting until the sun rose before getting to his feet.
The forest was full of life in the early morning. Sunlight filtered through the leaves onto the forest floor, and not far away, a sika deer could be seen eating tender leaves covered in dew while two squirrels kept watch from a nearby tree.
At first glance, Troll Forest seemed peaceful, but Lu Yang did not dare let his guard down. Trolls had excellent vision during the day, and the level gap between him and them was too great. They could easily spot him.
Just as he was about to enter the forest, a green figure suddenly leaped down from the nearest tree thirty yards ahead of him.
Green skin, a muscular body, red hair, and a sharp spear in its hand—it was a Forest Troll.
Lu Yang clicked his tongue and thought, Good thing I didn't enter Troll Forest at night. Otherwise, that Forest Troll would have killed me the moment I stepped inside.
Seeing the Forest Troll turn to head deeper into the woods, Lu Yang raised the Arsonist Staff and began chanting at its back. After 0.7 seconds, a Pyroblast formed at the tip of his staff.
Lu Yang pointed his staff at the troll, and the Pyroblast flew like a cannonball, trailing a long tail of fire toward its back.
"Bang!"
The troll staggered from the blow and let out a bloodthirsty growl. It turned around, glaring at Lu Yang with wolfish eyes, then raised its spear. Without moving from its spot, it drew its arm straight back and hurled the weapon with all its strength.
"Whoosh!"
The spear tore through the air and arrived before Lu Yang in an instant.
An ordinary player would never have been able to dodge a troll's thrown spear. The throw was incredibly fast, and the spear's trajectory through the air was extremely flat. Once thrown, it could cross thirty yards and strike a player in less than a second.
The spears thrown by Forest Trolls dealt tremendous damage, taking nearly 200 health with every hit. Even at level 15, no class other than Shield Warriors and Defense Paladins could withstand them.
When large numbers of players had entered Troll Forest in his previous life, many Mages, Hunters, and others had arrogantly attacked before the Warriors could pull the monsters. They were instantly killed by the trolls' returning spear throws, which showed just how powerful the trolls were.
However, no matter how fast a troll's spear throw was, it was useless against Lu Yang. The first thing any elite Mage had to learn in PvP was how to dodge an archer's arrows. Lu Yang had taken part in countless PvP battles in his previous life. In free mode, he could even evade archers' arrows, let alone a Forest Troll's spear.
With a simple sidestep, Lu Yang dodged the spear. He began chanting again, and another Pyroblast shot from the tip of his staff, striking the troll in the head with a bang.
"284" (Critical Hit)
The troll took a step back, and its throwing motion was interrupted. It had no choice but to prepare another throw, but by the time it hurled its spear again, Lu Yang's third Pyroblast had already been released. Lu Yang dodged to the right, avoiding the troll's attack while dealing more damage to it.
Like this, Lu Yang used his superb PvP skills from his previous life to evade the troll's spears while attacking with Pyroblast. In less than thirty seconds, he killed the troll.

Lu Yang warily scanned his surroundings. Only after confirming there was no second troll did he approach the corpse. After picking up a piece of common equipment it had dropped, he entered the forest.
Troll Forest was an enormous map filled with trolls. Following the memories of his previous life, Lu Yang searched for more than an hour and killed dozens of trolls before finally finding Troll Camp in the deepest part of Troll Forest.
System Notification: You discovered Troll Camp.
It was a wooden camp. Its fence was made entirely of wood and stood about one and a half meters tall. There were more than thirty buildings within the camp, each with around ten trolls nearby.
Lu Yang looked into the distance. At the far end of the camp was a valley backed by mountains. He remembered that Wokins's lair was inside.
"Finally found you," Lu Yang said.
After killing the two trolls at the entrance, Lu Yang continued forward. Avoiding the trolls as much as possible, he reached the valley. He hid in the grass and looked inside. After finding no other trolls, he quickly ran into the valley.
The entrance to the valley looked small, but it was very spacious inside. As the High Priest of this troll tribe, Wokins held supreme authority, so he lived here alone.
After walking less than twenty meters, Lu Yang saw a huge round wooden structure painted red. On one side of the building, he found Wokins.
This troll was covered from head to toe in red dye and was somewhat larger than an ordinary troll. He stood inside a circular earthen pit covered in symbols, praying to the heavens. Normally, trolls worshipped shamanism, yet the troll before him radiated a violent aura of fire elemental energy.
According to the information Lu Yang had gathered in his previous life, this troll possessed fire elemental energy because he had a fragment of the Demon God's Heart that had fallen onto the continent when it died. This was one of the materials Lu Yang needed to upgrade the Demon God's Heart.
Thinking of how powerful the Demon God's Heart had become after its upgrade in his previous life, Lu Yang could no longer restrain himself. He rushed to within thirty yards of Wokins, raised his staff, and struck him with a Pyroblast.
"Bang!"
"84"
Wokins, who possessed a Demon God Shard, had extremely high fire resistance.
"Roar!"
Wokins had been greedily savoring the power brought by the fire element when he was suddenly attacked. He turned around and glared furiously at Lu Yang.
"Damn human, you dare come to my territory? I will purify you with flames."
System Notification: Wokins used Fireball on you.
Two seconds later, Wokins formed a Fireball in his hand. But in those two seconds, Lu Yang had already leaped behind a large tree.
Wokins's spell, which had been aimed at Lu Yang, instantly lost its target and could only strike the tree instead.
"Boom!"
The Fireball hit the tree in front of Lu Yang, knocking it down.
"This is the power of flames. Damn human, you cannot escape," Wokins said. Rather than feeling embarrassed that he had missed Lu Yang, he seemed to be enjoying the feeling of a cat toying with a mouse.
Lu Yang merely sneered. He chanted and stacked five layers of Scorch on Wokins, increasing spell damage by 75 points, then struck Wokins with another Pyroblast.
Wokins staggered, and the spell he had been casting was interrupted.
