Lu Yang did not answer. As he watched the two columns of Heavy Armor Warriors approach the position he had selected earlier, he turned toward Xia Yuwei with a faint smile. "It's very simple."

A flash of white light appeared, and Lu Yang vanished from Xia Yuwei's sight. The next second, amid everyone's horrified stares, Lu Yang had appeared directly between the two columns of Heavy Armor Warriors.

"Enemy attack! Kill the intruder!" The Heavy Armor Warriors immediately spotted Lu Yang. Both columns turned at once, and eight steel spears stabbed toward his body.

Level 5 elite monsters had a third of a boss's attack power. Lu Yang had less than 15 points of defense and less than 300 total health. If all eight spears struck him at once, he would definitely die.

Just as Xia Yuwei and the others thought Lu Yang was about to be pierced to death, he suddenly ducked and silently chanted an incantation. A violent fiery-red ring of light burst from his body and surged outward.

With a bang, the Heavy Armor Warriors caught by the red ring were blasted away. The ones on the right were knocked backward into the underground river, while those on the left were hurled into the water trough, unable to climb out no matter how they struggled.

"Got it." Fierce Wine Clear Wind charged at one Heavy Armor Warrior that was just about to climb ashore with his greatshield raised, then turned and used Taunt on the second one that came up.

Xiao Liang did the same and held off the other two monsters.

"Give Fierce Wine Clear Wind five seconds to break their armor," Lu Yang said. "Everyone, attack the monsters he's holding first."

He marked the monsters' heads with triangle symbols. This was one of the game's special features, allowing team members to clearly understand the commander's instructions.

With all twelve players attacking together, the four Heavy Armor Warriors were killed by Lu Yang's group in less than three minutes. Meanwhile, the remaining four were still stuck in the water trough and unable to get out.

"Great! This makes things so much easier," Zhang Zibo said.

"So we don't need to tank these last four monsters, right?" Fierce Wine Clear Wind asked with a grin.

"Of course not," Lu Yang said. "Why would we tank them when they can't get out? Melee fighters, fall back. Mages, attack slowly. Don't rush."

"Understood," Half-Life Morningstar and the other three mages said together. They had not had much mana left to begin with. If they truly had to attack while tanking eight elite monsters, their mana would never have been enough. Now, even if they ran out, they could simply wait for it to recover before attacking again.

"Expert, you're seriously incredible," Fierce Wine Clear Wind said admiringly from the side. "You actually came up with something like that."

Xia Yuwei added, "You really are impressive. There probably aren't many people in the entire game with skills like yours."

Fierce Wine Clear Wind shook his head. "There's probably only Lu Yang. At the very least, between our Purple-Gold Dynasty and Xiong Ba's Supreme Dynasty, we have over a hundred thousand people, yet not one of them has that kind of skill."

"If we move back any farther, won't the warriors be unable to pick up the monsters in time?" Zhang Zibo asked.

Xia Yuwei, Zhang Zibo, and the others had not tried free mode yet, so they did not understand what Fierce Wine Clear Wind had been praising about Lu Yang. They thought Zheng Yuan might succeed too.

"Trust me," Lu Yang said. "He can't do it."
