Operation, Part Two

Li Qingman was walking through the mall when she happened to see a thief stealing a wallet ahead of her.

With a running start, she crossed the distance in a few strides and delivered a vicious kick to the thief's waist.

Crack!

Her trained skills were far beyond anything an ordinary petty thief could withstand.

The short man's spine was shattered by the kick. He collapsed to the ground and could not get back up.

Li Qingman pointed at the groaning thief on the floor without saying a word, beckoned Wei He behind her, then walked away on her own.

Wei He was speechless. He hurried forward to check the thief's injuries, called an ambulance, and calmed the startled bystanders.

This woman seemed to have no brains. She acted without considering the consequences, caring only about her own enjoyment and convenience.

With no intention of socializing, Wei He's thoughts were not on her, but on that mysterious organization from before.

Last time, they had failed to collect tissue and blood samples from him. Now, there was a strong chance they would strike at their group again.

So, he waited as well.

Unfortunately, after the two of them wandered through several malls and caught a few thieves, they gained nothing else.

At noon, they separated to rest and eat.

Li Qingman disliked street stalls, so she went to an upscale restaurant to order food.

To save money, Wei He made do with a meal at a small roadside shop.

The two temporarily went their separate ways.

"Ahh~~~" Li Qingman yawned, feeling bored and sleepy.

While waiting for her dishes to arrive, her communications terminal suddenly rang.

She casually accepted the call.

"What is it, Auntie?"
