Three days later.

Heavy rain came pouring down.

Rain like a curtain of pearls blanketed the sky and earth, falling onto the spotless ground.

Great quantities of rainwater gathered into streams and flowed into the underground drainage system.

Wei He held an umbrella as he slowly walked along the sidewalk. When he was almost at the dormitory building where he lived, his steps suddenly halted, and he stopped where he was.

At the elevator entrance beneath his floor stood a particularly conspicuous figure.

It was a woman with long emerald-green hair, dressed in the same style of uniform as him, though their divisions were different.

Seemingly hearing the movement, the woman turned her face and looked over.

Bilian Saluto.

Why was she here?

Wei He paused, then continued forward as if nothing had happened. Perhaps she had not come looking for him.

He did not greet her first. Though he had saved her that day, he had not intended to have any further dealings with her.

Reaching the elevator, Wei He pressed the button and stood quietly to one side as he waited.

"Mr. Wei, Bilian is profoundly grateful for your help that day!"

The green-haired woman solemnly took a step back and bowed deeply to Wei He.

"No need. I had not intended to save you. I merely happened to be there," Wei He said blandly.

"Whatever your reasons, the fact remains that I was saved because of you. Therefore, I hope you can give me an opportunity to repay you." Bilian straightened, her expression grave.

"Repay me?" Wei He's first thought was money. "I happen to need money. If you insist on repaying me, just compensate me with some cash."

He felt no embarrassment and directly stated what he needed.
