"It was actually a mutant!?"
Atop the giant bird's head, the purple colony instantly recognized Wei He's identity.
Rather than being alarmed, he was delighted.
"Interesting. A mutant hiding his identity, instead of thinking about how to protect himself, actually dares challenge someone whose psychic power level far surpasses his. Admirable courage!"
A cross sword wreathed in purple light likewise appeared in his hand, its blade entwined with threads of violet psychic energy.
The psychic energy wove itself into mysterious symbols that automatically embedded themselves in the sword's body, blazing with light.
"Let me show you what the power of Illumination truly is."
Clutching the hilt, the purple colony abruptly transformed into a violet line and shot from the giant bird's head, zigzagging toward Wei He.
The purple line he had become resembled a series of line segments—crooked, straight, yet impossibly fast.
At that instant, everything around them seemed to slow down.
Everything became slow motion.
The swarming beasts, drifting dust and flesh, even the giant bird's flapping wings. Everything slowed to the extreme.
Only the purple light sword seemed to have had its acceleration button pressed, shooting toward Wei He's waist to sever him in two.
Clang!!!!
The purple colony's movements froze. Fragments of the shattered light sword rebounded, slicing across his visor before shooting far into the beast tide and vanishing.
"!!??" The purple colony shuddered all over, his pupils constricting as he froze in place for an instant.
"How is that possible!!?" His mind went blank.
With his Illumination-level strength, although he had merely attacked casually, the destructive force brought by that speed boost was enough to damage the thick armor of a battleship.
Even a lump of metal entirely fused from high-strength space alloy could not possibly withstand that strike.
Yet this person before him...
Pfft!!
