"Pure" was a strange word to use for a living creature.

Yet for some reason, that was the very first impression Wei He had when he saw those two people.

Radiation pollution still lingered around this planet, yet the aura of flesh and blood on those two natives seemed utterly unaffected by it.

Not a trace of pollution clung to them.

"You saw it too, didn't you?" Katri's smile deepened. "This is our greatest purpose here."

Indeed. If not for that reason, the forces behind him would never have transferred him here.

Compared to Planet 228, the Eye of the Giant Wood was practically a barren planet. His work on Planet 228 had not been outstanding, but it had not been bad either.

Even if he had no merit, he had at least put in hard work. A lateral transfer should not have sent him here.

"They live in such an environment, yet their bodies remain untouched by polluted radiation. I need you to help me dig out that secret," Katri said gravely.

"I understand." Wei He nodded heavily.

He looked toward Ansaya beside him. The man's expression did not change, clearly indicating that he had long known this secret.

It seemed Ansaya's relationship with his boss, Katri, was even closer than Wei He had imagined.

"Let's go. We'll return to our base first. There are some arrangements and tasks that need handling."
