".All right." Wei He understood somewhat. This was simply an organization concocted by a group of Sovereign worshippers.

Yet because of a single word from the Sovereign, they had split into three factions.

"Still, I once heard that Star Abyss's rules had always been survival of the fittest?" Wei He suddenly asked.

"You are not wrong, but everything has exceptions. At our level, you never know where the other party may have hidden flesh and blood cells. Even if we kill the you standing before us, sooner or later we may be caught alone, then ambushed after you restore your body and strength.

That was why, to curb the chaos at the Black Flame level, there was a rule forbidding internal conflict among those at the Black Flame level," Black Thorn Ball explained in detail.

"What about below that?" Wei He asked again. "So beneath the Black Flame level, it does not matter?"

"As you please." Black Thorn Ball did not care in the slightest.

For Wei He, devouring ordinary Star Abyss creatures and devouring high-level lord-class creatures had roughly the same effect.

Now that he knew Black Flame-level beings were off-limits, he only needed to avoid touching those at the Black Flame level to prevent any major trouble.

"Since that is the case, can you let me consider it for a while?" Wei He replied.

"Of course. Just remember that it is best for Black Flame beings not to slaughter one another. As for the rest, do as you please.

I suggest you return and ask your superior lord," Black Thorn Ball
