Wei He extinguished his twin blades and looked down over the battlefield below, confirming that the Mother River had made no further arrangements and that no one had noticed the disturbance on his side.

"Mother told me that there was a child here whom she had once abandoned and left behind."

The figure's voice was low, transmitting directly into Wei He's mind.
