Earlier, I asked Fellow Daoist Xian Feng about the origins of the Scroll of Mountains and Rivers. Based on what you told me, I speculate that after the war between the righteous and evil paths, the Scroll of Mountains and Rivers was used as a vessel to seal this evil artifact and the Evil Cultivator.
To seal and suppress Longya and the Evil Cultivator imprisoned here alongside it, the Scroll of Mountains and Rivers expended too much power and ultimately fell in grade. For some unknown reason, it ended up in the Weiyu Realm and became the Huaxian Sect's treasure that safeguarded the sect."
