The Gongsun brothers saw that all three had nodded in agreement, so they turned and got into their own car, just missing Lan Lan, who had rushed over to serve as the temporary driver.
"Master Ranxi, I'm here."
Lan Lan arrived beside the RV with a smile across her face.
Yunxi nodded and said,
"Lan Lan, your timing is perfect. I need to go handle something. Just drive and follow that silver-gray car ahead of us—they'll lead the way."
"Alright, no problem."
Lan Lan immediately agreed. She also took the time to sneak a few more glances at the man and woman beside the master. She felt that the two of them were the same kind of people as Master Ranxi—both dazzling at first sight and impossible to forget.
Lan Lan climbed into the driver's seat. After starting the vehicle, she followed behind the Gongsun brothers' car, heading for the skyscraper where the Special Department was located, the same place Yunxi had visited before.
Captain Chen's group, who had come along with Han Lian, also started their car and followed behind Yunxi's RV toward the same destination.
The three inside the RV did not continue meditating. Instead, they spoke quietly among themselves.
"How did Yun Chen end up in the Special Department's hands? With his abilities, that shouldn't have happened."
Han Lian raised a brow. From what she knew of Yun Chen, he only looked easygoing on the surface.
Yunxi spread her hands and said,
"We'll only know once we see him in person. With Yun Chen's temperament and that compassionate heart of his, he probably didn't want to clash with the people here, so he chose to go along with them."
Xun Kun nodded as well.
"My guess is that Yun Chen encountered the Soul Reapers collecting divine souls.
